My piece push/ through is a personal narrative of coping with the violence directly at my front doorstep. My artwork provides a landscape for me to collide visual languages and material together; themes of health, wellbeing and safety nets are reoccurring. 

Through my piece I question “Where is the balance between violence and health?”

By taking my medication regularly, visiting the gun range, sitting at a table and drawing for hours, I generate visual language as a means of beginning to find an answer.
